These live cuts were recorded at the Zoo for the Smallpond compilation right towards the end of the band and feature a bunch of songs that were written later on but never recorded except for here. There is also one cover included.
'Sweat' and 'Pike Street' were songs written around Corey's bass lines, fast, funky and good opening songs.
This version of 'The Evil' from A Million Miles of Green shows why this song was a live favorite.
'The Great Wall' is one of my favorite MOD songs ever, it was probably the last song that we ever recorded in a proper studio. I wish I still had a copy of that recording but this live version captures the song pretty well.
'The Entity' from Justice was voted the favorite MOD song by radio listeners, even though it was a really mellow song people always seemed to dig it.
'Me in Sydney' was one of the first songs we wrote and we recorded it for a first album but that recording is missing from my collection. This live version is probably better than that early recording anyway
'Only Dreaming', 'Stab Me in the Back' and 'Miati' were representative of the kind of songs we were doing right towards the end of the band
'Butt' was a foreshadow to another project that would involve 3 of the 4 members of Methods, Deep Down Trauma Hounds
'My Sin' was a cover. The name of the song was 'End up Swimming' and the band was 'My Sin', this was a closing song for a while and it barely resembles the original.
